In 2025, Valentine’s Day falls on Friday, February 14. It originated as a Christian feast day to honor Saint Valentine. Saint Valentine was a Christian martyr who secretly performed marriages during the Roman Empire’s ban under Emperor Claudius II. For this reason, he was executed on February 14 around 269 AD. The date also coincides with the Roman festival of Lupercalia. It is a fertility celebration. During the Middle periods, the day gained romantic significance. This day has a relation with nature too, as it was believed birds began mating in mid-February. 14th February or the day of Valentines\u2019 got popularized with the then English poets like Geoffrey Chaucer and others. Today, Valentine\u2019s Day is celebrated worldwide as a day of love, affection, and gift-giving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
